A case Foley is handling on behalf of Booking.com is listed by Law360 as one of four big copyright and trademark rulings expected to come down before the end of the year.
After being refused a trademark registration on its name, Booking.com won an appellate ruling last year overturning the decision, only to be ordered to pay $76,000 in attorneys’ fees to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which the online travel site is now appealing to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, according to the Law360 article, “The Next 4 Big Copyright and Trademark Rulings Are…”
