Aranda Quoted in El Economista about Obrador Oil Proposals

Partner Daniel Aranda was quoted in the column “Signos Vitales” by Alberto Aguirre, published in El Economista, in which he stated that the proposal of President López Obrador to extract only enough oil to meet the national demand and to stop selling oil production abroad would generate greater economic damage than benefit as oil exports are the third largest resource in the country. It will most likely be an unsuccessful energy policy. Regarding the construction of a new refinery in Dos Bocas, Tabasco, Aranda added: “it is unrealistic to expect that the refinery could be operating in three years and that it is preferable to focus on the reconfiguration of the six existing refineries”.
