Partner Alejandro Gomez-Strozzi was quoted in the RioAxaca article, “U.S. Lists New Quotas for Mexican Steel,” about the announcement of new tarriffs on Mexican structural steel by the U.S. government after an investigation determined that some companies engaged in unfair trade practices. The tariffs are isolated and not related to tariffs annunced last year under T-MEC.
Gomez-Strozzi said the new quotas should not impacat the ratification of T-MEC. “Evenf or the industry, there would not be much impact, given that it is only a specific product and only some companies,”
