Litchfield Interviewed on Golf Business Podcast About Pressing Labor & Employment Issues Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Partner John Litchfield was Interviewed on the Golf Business Podcast about the most common questions he is hearing from clients amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Litchfield, a labor and employment lawyer, said many clients are asking about the new federal family leave law and the paid leave requirements under the law. Businesses, Litchfield said, want to know if they qualify under the law and what are their obligations under the law.

Other questions he is hearing from businesses include how they transition employees in the wake of the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and doing it in a way that is fair and provides for them in the best way possible. Litchfield told the podcast that many issues relating to layoffs, unemployment benefits and even providing health insurance benefits are often guided by state law and told listeners to first consult with a lawyer who knows the laws in their state.
