Partner Mike Okaty was quoted in an Orlando Business Journal article, “Winter Park biopharma firm Cytocom to go public through merger,” about a merger agreement between Winter Park-based Cytocom Inc. and Cleveland BioLabs Inc., two pharmaceutical companies focused on developing treatments that boost the body’s immune system.
Okaty said health care is an industry where opportunities for mergers and acquisitions persist despite the pandemic. While M&A activity dropped to nearly nothing during the early summer, it has slowly returned in August and September, he said, and is expected to continue growing through the remainder of 2020.
