Foley & Lardner LLP Of Counsel Michael Wall is quoted in the Law.com article, “What’s Up With All the Recent GC Changes in Pro Sports?” about the turnover in legal talent in the pro sports industry.
This month alone, five franchises in the NFL, MLB, and NHL have seen their general counsels depart or have named new legal chiefs.
Wall said, “There’s news of this movement within the industry because there are so many more attorneys than there were years ago. And that number is increasing.”
“It reflects the growing complexity of the sports industry in general and the increasing volume of legal-related work,” he added.
