Kyle Faget Authors Article on Telehealth Practice Post-Public Health Emergency
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Kyle Faget authored the TechREG Chronicle article, “Practicing Telehealth Post-Public Health Emergency,” exploring the current telehealth policy landscape and what practitioners need to know to practice telehealth compliantly following the conclusion of the public health emergency (PHE).
Faget, who is co-chair of Foley’s Health Care Practice Group, discusses changes impacting Medicare, Medicaid, prescribing flexibilities for controlled substances, health insurance and portability and accountability act discretionary enforcement, and discretionary enforcement of cost sharing waives and reductions for telehealth services.
“While the end of the COVID-19 PHE brought a decisive end to some of the telehealth policies and regulations that have shaped the provision of health care over the past three years, much remains uncertain about the future of telehealth,” Faget concludes.
