Foley & Lardner LLP partner Roger Strode is quoted in the Modern Healthcare article, “Outpatient care leads to building boom,” offering insight on health care providers bulking up their outpatient offerings.
Strode explained the value of joint ventures to providing outpatient care. He said that partnerships are a way for systems losing inpatient volume to share costs and bring some of that revenue back in house. The partner doctors and health care companies, on the other hand, gain more bargaining power with payers and take on less financial risk, Strode added.
