Foley & Lardner LLP partner Louis Lehot commented on the initial public offering of stablecoin issuer Circle in the Law360 article, “Circle’s Smash IPO Could Pave Way For More Crypto Listings.”
Lehot said that the successful IPO could see confidence extend to companies outside the crypto industry.
For example, he continued, if financial technology company Chime follows Circle with a strong debut, that could spur “middle-market companies to come out, which is really the bellwether of a good IPO window.”
“You need to see some base hits, not just home runs,” Lehot added. “Circle was definitely a home run.”
