Foley Expands Construction and Manufacturing Capabilities with Addition of J.P. Vogel in Dallas
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that J.P. Vogel has joined the firm as a partner in the Construction Practice Group and the Manufacturing Sector. Based in Dallas, Vogel advises private equity, owners, developers, specialty subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers on every aspect of high leverage construction projects, acquisitions, and operations throughout the United States and abroad.
Vogel’s work spans industrial and manufacturing facilities, data center and artificial intelligence facilities, energy facilities, infrastructure and transportation projects, and commercial developments. He assists clients with contract structuring and negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution. His experience includes matters involving delays, defects, change orders, payment and lien claims, project administration, and major contract negotiations, including those requiring close collaboration among technical, operational, and legal teams. Additionally, Vogel routinely advises private equity firms through the due diligence process for potential investments in both domestic and foreign construction companies operating as contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers across a wide range of sectors.
“J.P. has a deep understanding of the issues that shape today’s construction landscape and brings experience across the full lifecycle of complex projects,” said Jeff Blease, chair of Foley’s Construction Practice Group. “His work on large industrial and infrastructure developments strengthens our national construction platform and enhances the capabilities we continue to build to support clients with significant manufacturing and project delivery needs.”
Vogel’s practice frequently intersects with labor and employment, collections, tax, corporate governance, and other regulatory issues that arise in large construction and development projects. He integrates this broad experience into his construction practice, advising clients on the regulatory, commercial, and operational considerations that shape complex development initiatives.
“Texas remains one of the most active and fast-moving construction markets in the country, and clients here are facing increasingly complex contracting and dispute issues,” said Michael Newman, managing partner of Foley’s Dallas office. “J.P.’s ability to support both front-end project planning and sophisticated disputes strengthens our construction and litigation capabilities. We’re excited to welcome him to the Dallas office.”
“I was seeking a broader platform that aligns with the direction of my practice,” Vogel said. “Foley’s national footprint, cross-disciplinary resources, and sector-focused approach will allow me to serve clients with greater efficiency and consistency across geographies. I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth in Texas and across the country.”
