Gregory Husisian Analyzes U.S.–Taiwan Tariff Agreement and Trade Strategy Shifts

Supply Chain Dive
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Gregory Husisian is quoted in the Supply Chain Dive article, “US sets Taiwan tariffs at 15% on auto parts, wood, aircraft parts,” discussing the U.S.–Taiwan trade and investment agreement.
“The latest pact is the U.S. administration’s response to the Supreme Court’s February ruling that invalidated country-specific tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump in 2025,” Husisian observed.
He explained that “in response, the administration has been using other trade laws, such as Section 232 and Section 301, to keep tariff pressure in place. The latest Taiwan adjustments fine-tune those tariffs while preserving the 15% ceiling agreed to in the bilateral deal.”
Husisian’s commentary also appeared in Manufacturing Dive.
