Wesley N. Becker, a retired partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, represented lenders, owners and developers in all phases of transactions involving the financing, sale, purchase and leasing of commercial real estate. He had extensive experience in the area of Build-to-Suit transactions having completed many single tenant development projects, including office, industrial and “big box” retail projects. Wesley also completed many land banking transactions which provided alternative forms of financing to national home builders. He was a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Finance & Financial Institutions Practices as well as a member of the Health Care; Hospitality & Leisure; and Energy Industry Teams.

In addition, Wesley completed many lease transactions (office, retail and industrial) and has worked extensively in the area of joint ventures and strategic alliances. He also counseled clients in connection with the real estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to attending law school, Wesley worked in the construction industry and owned and operated a drywall construction company. In advising clients, Wesley uses the lessons he learned in the construction business about critical path analysis, cash flow management, and the allocation and management of risk.
