Associate

Isabella (Bella) Diehl is a member of Foley & Lardner LLP’s Electronics Practice Group where she focuses on helping clients navigate intellectual property matters across a variety of technologies, including medical devices, digital therapeutics, and other software focused solutions. Bella is a thoughtful advisor who brings a technical background in biomedical engineering to her legal practice, allowing her to bridge the gap between innovation and legal strategy. She has experience supporting clients in drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and developing internal IP strategies.

Bella began her legal career at Foley serving as a summer associate in both 2023 and 2024. She also gained valuable experience interning with the Office of General Counsel at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where she supported the IP, Corporate, and Litigation teams.

During law school, Bella served as the Community Outreach Officer for Northeastern’s IP Society, participated in the USPTO National Patent Drafting Competition, and was a teaching assistant for legal research and writing. Bella is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, a national engineering honor society.
