Paula focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with particular experience in the renewable and nonrenewable energy sectors and the manufacturing industry. She represents clients throughout all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial or final arbitration and, when necessary, the appellate process. Paula’s experience includes breach of contract and construction disputes, class actions, and personal injury defense in federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations, both within and outside of Texas.

In addition to trial work, Paula has represented clients in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. Paula has participated in a major ICC arbitration representing an owner in a dispute regarding the construction of a solar facility outside the United States, which resulted in a favorable award of more than $30 million for the project owner.

Beyond her commercial litigation practice, Paula is strongly committed to pro bono service. She works primarily with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where she advocates for undocumented children in state and immigration courts who are in active removal proceedings and seeking lawful status. As a Colombian immigrant who moved to the United States at a young age, Paula is deeply committed to using her legal and bilingual skills to support the immigrant community by helping children navigate a complex and often unforgiving legal system.

Bilingual in both English and Spanish, Paula values her role as both an advocate and bridge between communities. Outside the office, Paula is a devoted supporter of the Colombian national soccer team and a huge Bad Bunny fan, proudly among the top 1% of his listeners on Apple Music.
