Scott Johnson Interviewed on Expanded DPA Use to Support Domestic Energy Supply Chains
Foley & Lardner LLP of counsel Scott Johnson appeared on Federal News Network to discuss presidential determinations under the Defense Production Act (DPA).
Johnson provided an overview of recent presidential determinations under Section 303 of the DPA, highlighting expanded U.S. Department of Energy authority to fund a broad range of energy initiatives and their implications for the U.S. energy sector, including potential access to federal funding, new project opportunities across the energy supply chain, and increased reliance on agency implementation and appropriations.
“Keep an eye on the DOE section of the Federal Register to see what funding opportunities might arise to the extent that companies can be prepared to jump on those when they become available, all the better, and we’ll see what happens,” Johnson emphasized.
