Foley & Lardner LLP’s Miami office is featured for its relocation in the Law.com article, “After 18 Years in Miami, Foley & Lardner Relocates to Southeast Financial Center.”
As the firm nears two decades in the Miami business community, the move underscores its long-term commitment to the region and positions the office for continued growth in one of downtown Miami’s premier business locations.
Office Managing Partner Ruben Diaz discussed the importance of adapting office space to current practice needs, noting, “There was more space needed for filing cabinets and for secretarial stations and things like that, there was less of an emphasis on technology… [Now] the technology piece is much stronger at every lawyer office, the secretarial station, the filing station, central records, all of that is in a new place from where it was 20 years ago,” he said.
“In order to make the space what it needs to be for today’s practice, we needed to make change on that front,” Diaz added.
He emphasized, “We want to have something that is consistent with the needs of today in terms of the practice, facilities, technology, design of space, use of space, and if we wanted to do that with the ability to grow and to provide sufficient space for what we have now, but have a cushion for significant growth, then the decision was we had to we had to do it, we had to move.”
Foley’s move also appeared in Law360‘s Law Firm Real Estate Report.
