Daniel Farris Highlights Challenges Facing AI Data Center Expansion

Information Week
Foley & Lardner LLP partner Daniel Farris shared insights in the Information Week article, “The case for the disappearing data center,” on the growing public and regulatory focus on AI-powered data centers.
Farris emphasized, “Given AI’s prominence and the recent politicization of data centers, it is unlikely that large, high-density, high-performance computing data centers will be able to fade from public view any time soon.”
“The scrutiny drawn by large AI data centers may bleed over to more traditional colocation and hyperscale data centers that have seamlessly integrated into communities across the country for decades,” he added.
