Telemedicine and Accountable Care Organizations

New delivery models, such as ACOs, can be environments to harness new telemedicine technologies. Historically, our clients have focused on the structure, organization, and contractual arrangements for their ACOs, while navigating regulatory and legal issues, such as insurance, antitrust, and fraud and abuse. As telemedicine and ACOs continue to develop, the next focus will be on developing efficiencies around telemedicine technology, arrangements with post-acute providers, and increased use of medical homes and mid-level practitioners.
