Foley & Lardner health care litigation and white collar defense partner Byron J. McLain has joined the board of directors of Bet Tzedek.
The appointment was effective as of January 2019.
For the past 40 years, Bet Tzedek has provided free, comprehensive legal services for low-income individuals and families in Los Angeles, proving that access to justice makes a difference in people’s lives. Mr. McLain has volunteered with Bet Tzedek to provide pro bono representation on multiple matters throughout his career. As a member of Bet Tzedek’s board, Mr. McLain will provide leadership and additional support to help the organization achieve its mission.
In addition to maintaining an active legal practice, Mr. McLain is deeply committed to community service. He serves as the 2019 President of the John M. Langston Bar Association. Mr. McLain is also a board member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Judicial Nominations Committee and the Multicultural Bar Association. In addition, he is a member of the Harvard Club of Southern California, State Bar of California – Litigation Section, American Bar Association, Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Inn of Court, and Jack and Jill, Inc – Father’s Auxiliary Group.
