Partner Aaron Tantleff was quoted in a Reuters article, “U.S. Reluctant to Change Data Pact After EU Watchdogs’ Concerns,” on April 20, 2016. The article focused on the ongoing discussion surrounding EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Most recently, EU privacy regulators released an opinion on the agreement, which the United States is currently reviewing. If the regulators’ concerns are not addressed, the chances of the Privacy Shield being challenged in court will likely increase. Tantleff was quoted saying, “By doing so, it (the Privacy Shield) will be open to significant attacks by the public, and a court challenge is all but guaranteed.”
