Attorneys in Foley’s telemedicine and virtual care practice, including partner Nathaniel Lacktman and public affairs director Paul Lowell, contributed comments to the proposed telemedicine regulations for Florida Medicaid issued by Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration. The Agency is hosting a public rule development workshop on the proposed regulations November 20, 2015.
Foley’s comments applaud the Agency’s Bureau of Medicaid Policy for addressing telemedicine, and suggest important revisions, including increasing the scope of professionals authorized to provide telemedicine services to Medicaid recipients.
