Foley Partner Gregory Neppl was quoted in an article that appeared on Bloomberg on October 12, 2009 titled “Google Director Resigns, Resolving Regulatory Probe.” The article discusses the resignation of Apple Inc. and Google Inc. director Arthur Levinson from Google’s board in order to resolve a regulatory probe into overlapping directors at the two companies. Neppl notes that whether there is a violation or not, no one who is busy running a business wants the distraction of an FTC investigation into overlapping board members, adding that the investigation itself becomes a nuisance.
