Foley Partner and co-chair of the Automotive Industry Team Steven Hilfinger was quoted in an article titled “Auto suppliers’ outlook better than you’d think, says Detroit M&A specialist” in the On the Stand section of the August 3, 2009 issue of Michigan Lawyers Weekly. Hilfinger discusses the state of the automotive supplier industry in the wake of the General Motors and Chrysler bankruptcies. He observes that auto suppliers have different opportunities than before, noting that many are moving into areas such as aerospace and government contracting, and also looking abroad to countries where U.S. suppliers have set up operations or joint ventures.
