John J. Feldhaus is a retired partner and intellectual property lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He concentrated his practice in patent litigation involving electronic and computer technologies and was lead counsel in numerous cases on subject matter, including confocal microscopy, computer power management, plasma enhanced continuous vapor deposition, dynamic random access memories and liquid crystal display technology. He was a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.
John began his career as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1974.

In 2010, the Legal 500 recognized John for patent litigation and in 2013 – 2016, he was selected for inclusion in the Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers® lists for his work in intellectual property litigation. John has been rated AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system.

John is co-author of the textbooks, “Electronics and Computer Patent Practice” and “Electronics and Computer Patent and Copyright Practice,” both published by Patent Resources Institute. He has also lectured extensively for the Patent Resources Group.
