Tyler Johnson represents developers, sponsors, institutional investors, and corporate users in complex real estate, energy, and digital infrastructure transactions. He advises clients across the full lifecycle of large-scale projects and platforms, including portfolio and single-asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, development and redevelopment, and long-term leasing and operational arrangements.

Tyler’s experience spans major real estate asset types and infrastructure sectors across the United States. He regularly advises on office and mixed-use campuses, retail, industrial and logistics portfolios, data center and AI infrastructure assets, energy and renewable projects, multifamily and student housing, and master planned single-family communities (both for sale and build-to-rent). He also counsels corporate occupiers on portfolio management and advises financial institutions and investors in distressed situations, including workouts and foreclosures.

  • Represented nonprofit corporation in acquisition of a portfolio of multifamily properties across the Gulf Coast and Southeastern United States in a tax-exempt bond financing.
  • Represented core investment fund of major investment bank in acquisition program for multifamily properties in Arizona, California, Florida, and Texas.
  • Represented national developer in development, equity and debt financing and disposition of new multi-family projects in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Washington, D.C, Tennessee, and Texas.
  • Represented developer in the financing and development of build-to-rent developments throughout the Southern and Southwestern United States.
  • Represented developer in the structuring, financing and development of a 120-acre multi-phase mixed-use project in the Southeastern United States, consisting of corporate campus style office, retail and residential components.
  • Represented purchaser of Class A office portfolio with more than 700,000 rentable square feet in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Represented client in purchase and repositioning of a 1.2 million square-foot Class A office and retail mixed-use project in Dallas, Texas.
  • Represented client in development, leasing and ultimate disposition of a 400-acre mixed-use project in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, including both retail and office facilities.
  • Represented client in the redevelopment and disposition of a 60-acre infill retail property in Dallas, Texas, including the repositioning of a legacy regional mall into an open-air retail center anchored by national retailers.
  • Represented public data center developer in the development of Texas data center assets, including an approximately 800+ acre, multi-phase hyperscale and AI campus and a separate 200+ acre, multi-tenant powered campus for high-performance computing, hyperscale, and AI workloads.
  • Represented multiple AI and HPC platforms in real estate, development and infrastructure transactions supporting the expansion of data center assets across major U.S. markets, including projects in the Western, Southwestern and Southeastern United States designed for large-scale GPU and HPC workloads.
  • Represented industrial REIT in acquisition of a portfolio of over 1.3 million square feet of industrial facilities throughout California.
  • Represented client in acquisition of a 120-megawatt wind facility in West Texas.
  • Represented client in financing of 632-megawatt electric-generating facility in South Texas.
  • Represented sponsor in development and disposition of 1,850-acre wetland and tidal habitat mitigation bank in Houston, Texas.
  • Represented international manufacturer in outsourcing of facilities management for 400+ properties in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
