Thomas “Chip” Munro was a litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP. During his years of practice, Thomas concentrated in general commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction matters and product liability issues, both personal injury and commercial products disputes. In so doing, he regularly handled complex, multiparty arbitration and litigation in both state and federal court. The result of his substantial experience in the construction arena, Thomas has been accepted by the American Arbitration Association as an arbitrator for construction industry disputes. He also regularly lectures on construction-related disputes. Thomas is former chair of Foley’s Litigation Department in Tampa and a member and former chair of the firm’s Construction Practice. He was also a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice and the Hospitality, Resort & Golf and Sports Industry Teams.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Thomas gained several years of experience in the design/engineering/construction industry in such diverse areas as aviation, mechanical equipment, and power generation.

Thomas has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system. Thomas was selected for inclusion in the 2007–2013 and 2015 Florida Super Lawyers® lists and in 2006, he was recognized as one of Florida’s Legal Elite™ by Florida Trend magazine.

He is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, as well as both the ABA’s Litigation Section and Forum Committee on the Construction Industry. He is an affiliate member of the Associated General Contractors and the Florida Transportation Builders Association.
