The U.S. Renewable Energy Industry, like every sector of the economy, is being affected by the outbreak of coronavirus. Supply chain disruptions around the world are impacting construction schedules for U.S. renewable energy projects. A number of announcements have been made in recent weeks imposing some state and local restrictions on commercial activities, which in some cases have included limitations on construction activities. The next round of Federal legislation is expected to affect the energy industry directly. While no one knows how long current restrictions and supply chain disruptions will remain in effect, it is clear that the situation is changing constantly.
