Fredericksen Quoted on Sessions’ Recusal from Russia Investigation

Partner Scott Fredericksen was quoted in a Bloomberg Politics article, “Sessions to Sit Out 2016 Probes, Winning Political Respite,” which covers in detail U.S. attorney general Jeff Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from election-related Russia probes and draws comparisons to recusals from past attorneys general.
Fredericksen discusses Sessions’ recusal and compares with that of former U.S. attorney general John Ashcroft’s, and is quoted saying “because it’s the attorney general who is being recused, and he’s potentially even a subject of the investigation … it’s an investigation that involves the administration’s contacts with the Russians so it is at that highest level.”
