Scott Ellis, vice chair of Foley’s national Energy Litigation Practice and the hiring partner for its Houston office, has received a Best Mentor Award from Texas Lawyer.
The award recognizes Ellis for his abilities as a trial attorney, but his passion for mentorship earned him the firm’s Carl Hitchner Mentor of the Year award in 2019, presented annually to recognize outstanding mentoring to Foley’s young attorneys.
Ellis has also been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Texas Rising Star for the last 11 consecutive years, and was named to the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2020, which honors the top 40 business and community leaders under 40 in Houston.
