Foley & Lardner LLP recently announced that Anne Sekel has been elevated to managing partner of the firm’s New York office. Sekel is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Labor & Employment Practice Groups. She has successfully represented clients in all phases of commercial disputes, ranging from pre-litigation dispute resolution all the way through trial or arbitration. Sekel is also the New York office chair of the Litigation Department and serves as the department’s training chair.
In a feature article by Law360, Sekel told the outlet that “this is a really significant passing of the baton, and I'm honored that... the firm felt like I was the right person to take over the role.” She plans to focus on building out the office's capabilities in four areas Foley has pinpointed for growth: innovative technology, health care and life sciences, manufacturing, and energy.
