Stephanie McPhail is a litigation attorney in the Dallas office of Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Stephanie focuses her practice on representing clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including cybersecurity and privacy, securities litigation, class actions, shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and intellectual property. Stephanie has experience in all aspects of litigation matters.
Stephanie was previously a summer associate with Foley. While in law school, Stephanie was a judicial extern with the 68th District Court in Dallas, Texas for Presiding Judge Martin Hoffman.
- Obtained a jury verdict in a two-week jury trial prosecuting claims for non-infringement of patent and unfair competition.
- Obtained directed verdict in a five-week jury trial in defense of claims for securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, and other claims against a registered investment advisor firm.
- Represented the defense, in a securities class action and multiple fiduciary duty actions, of an NYSE-listed REIT in multiple forums across the country.
- Represented the defense of a private company in the automotive industry in a national class action dispute involving claims related to an alleged data breach and exposure of customers’ personally identifiable information or PII.
