Austin L. Poynter



Austin Poynter is a business attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Transactions and Private Equity & Venture Capital Practices.

Austin’s core practice includes serving as transactional counsel in a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, partnerships and joint ventures, and other complex business transactions. Partnering with various specialists across Foley’s broad platform, Austin also advises clients on employment, intellectual property, tax, real estate and litigation matters.

In addition, Austin has diverse general corporate law experience and counsels clients on a range of corporate matters. He frequently assists clients with company formation, capital raising, equity holder agreements, employee and consulting agreements, license agreements, commercial arrangements, strategic planning, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, leases, and other business contracts and agreements.

Austin represents public and private companies, private equity and venture capital funds, family offices, founders, executives, investors and strategic buyers in a wide range of industries, including SAAS and technology-enabled service companies, manufacturing and distribution, financial services, energy and energy services, education technology, real estate development, retail, entertainment and restaurants and hospitality.
