Christopher G. Terris



Chris Terris is an associate and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Chris practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, securities law, capital markets and corporate governance. He is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice and Capital Markets & Public Company Advisory Practice.


Chris earned his law degree from New York University School of Law (J.D., 2018), where he served on the Executive Board of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business (M.B.A., 2018), with concentrations in strategy, finance and economics. He received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Boston College (B.A., 2012), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

During law school, Chris worked for Judge Rudolph T. Randa of the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Counterterrorism Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Prior to entering law school, Chris worked for Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-01) and Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (WI-05).


Chris is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
