Foley attorneys Mark Waxman, Stephen Bent and David Rosen will speak at the New York Biotechnology Association’s 18th Annual Meeting, April 20 – 21, 2009 in New York, NY.
Mr. Waxman and Mr. Bent will participate in a panel discussion on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. The panel, “Synthetic Biology: International Regulatory and Legal Issues Around a Rising Industry,” includes Cord Staehler from febit biomed gmbh, Jason Kelly, Ph.D. from GinkgoBioworks, and Kevin O’Connell from In-Q-Tel, Inc.
Topics include lessons learned from early experiments in synthetic biology, creating guidelines around the use of synthetic biological materials, new approaches to sharing materials and Bio Open Source.
Mr. Rosen will participate in a panel on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 11:35 a.m. – 12:55 p.m. The panel, “The Future of Biosimiliars, BioGenerics, Follow-on Biologics – A Rose by an Other Name,” includes speakers from The Weinberg Group.
Foley will also participate in the meeting as a Bronze-level sponsor.
