The presentation discussed the special considerations needed when obtaining and defending patents in the field of personalized medicine and addressed U.S. court decisions that are likely to impact patentability of subject matter relevant personalized medicine, particularly in the area of diagnostic tests.
The 2009 Personalized Medicine Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. The conference is supported by the The Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC), an independent, non-profit group that works to advance the understanding and adoption of personalized medicine for the ultimate benefit of patients.
