Mr. Rossman is speaking on September 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. His session is titled “Physician/Hospital Alignment – Cutting Edge Strategies: Regulatory and Payment Issues.” This is a new presentation, focusing on the most innovative structural strategies for integrating hospitals and health systems and physicians and physician organizations. The presentation will discuss the goals to be achieved by such alignment, and the most significant regulatory and payment issues that must be considered in designing such alignment. Physician/hospital alignment is a key strategy of most organizations at the present time, and it is also a necessary goal that must be achieved under many of the health reform strategies being pursued on the federal level.
