On Monday, April 16th, 2012 Foley participated in the BIO IP Counsels Committee Conference, April 16th-18th, at the The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The program focused on various changes to U.S. patent law provided by the provisions of the America Invents Act (the “AIA”). Foley Attorneys Lauren Stevens and Debra Nye along with Dan Sharp, The University of Austin Texas and Thomas Kelley, Monsanto Company presented a workshop entitled, “Putting The Pieces Together” discussing the expanded prior commercial use defense (“PCU defense”) of the AIA.
