Foley partner Judy Waltz, chair of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group, is speaking in the Health Care Compliance Board & Compliance Committee Conference in the panel “Corporate Integrity Agreements: Independent Review of Organizations and the Office of the Inspector General.” The session will cover:
- Corporate Integrity Agreements (CIA): When they are required and what they require of obligated organizations;
- Independent Review Organizations (IRO) and Quality Review Organizations (QRO): Qualifications, independence, and structure of common IRO and QRO reviews;
- Board’s role in overseeing the compliance program of a CIA-obligated organization; and
- Lessons learned and best practices identified from organizations under CIAs.

The Health Care Compliance Association is a provider/sponsor, approved/accredited by the Alabama State Bar, the State Bar of California, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Rhode Island MCLE Commission, and the State Bar of Texas. CLE credit for qualifying sessions will be available to participants of this conference licensed in these states. Upon request, if there is sufficient time and if there are sessions that meet their CLE requirements, HCCA may submit qualifying sessions to additional state CLE authorities for consideration. This includes meeting state CLE authorities’ requirements for sessions being offered live and virtually. Only written requests from registered participants will be considered.
