As AI systems continue to expand in capability, autonomy, and organizational influence, many existing governance models are struggling to keep pace. This session will explore the current and near‑term landscape of AI regulation and governance as we move into 2026, with a focus on the shift from traditional model‑centric approaches to more complex agentic and system‑level AI deployments.
As part of the ACC Mountain West Chapter’s 2026 Tech Law Symposium, Foley partner Peter Stockburger will examine how emerging legal frameworks, litigation trends, and technical standards are beginning to align, as well as where significant gaps remain in areas such as accountability, human oversight, and third‑party risk. The session will also offer practical insights into how leading organizations are implementing AI governance in ways that can scale with rapidly evolving technologies.
