Law Firm Expands Private Equity Matchmaker Software to Serve Senior Living Industry.
Foley announced today the launch of its Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker tool, the latest addition to its proprietary online Private Equity Matchmaker software platform that is designed to enhance the ability of Foley attorneys to refer potential business opportunities to its existing client base.
The Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker tool is geared exclusively to the senior living industry. Through its automated search function and deal-matching capability, Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker brings together Foley clients in this industry from around the world who are seeking capital for acquisitions, capital improvements or new construction with those who are actively pursuing private equity investment opportunities, classified as “seekers” and “sources,” respectively.
“Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker comes at a time when access to private equity and debt is more important than ever,” said Mike Okaty, Chair, Foley’s Senior Living Industry Team. “This tool is not intended to replace the existing means of finding capital that are currently available to those in the senior living arena, but rather to enhance them by providing a marketplace for seekers and sources to connect and form mutually beneficial relationships.”
As Foley attorneys populate the Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker database with client data, the tool automatically searches for matches based on key attributes including transaction size, development stage, facility type and geographic region. When a match is identified, the system generates an e-mail notifying the Foley attorneys of their clients’ potential compatibility.
“Aligning those who seek and provide capital has long been a challenge in the senior living field,” said John O’Connor, Editorial Director, McKnight’s Long-Term Care News and McKnight’s Assisted Living magazines. “The beauty of the Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker tool is its ability to pre-screen candidates and create good fits. The benefits for both sides include smoother transactions and better relationships.”
The Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker tool is a value-added service provided by the firm’s Senior Living Industry Team, which is comprised of more than 30 attorneys across the nation. The dedicated team serves the senior living industry through representation of owners and operators of independent senior housing; ALFs (assisted living facilities); SNFs (skilled nursing facilities) and CCRCs (continuing care retirement communities) on a wide array of matters.
Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker is the latest in a long line of progressive Foley technology offerings that add value for clients. Foley has been named to the InformationWeek 500 list for three consecutive years (2006 – 2008) for innovative client-focused technology that enables clients to better manage their legal departments. Foley also was named to CIO magazine’s 2007 CIO-100 list, which comprises global companies demonstrating technological innovation in improving products, services and relationships with clients.
Foley’s award-winning technology platforms FOLEY ClientSuite and FOLEY: Electronic Data Discovery System provided breakthroughs in how the legal industry manages casework and litigation document review processes. These platforms enabled the firm to develop and tailor an online offering that would meet the needs of private equity clients in today’s increasingly competitive deal market.
