Journal of Multidisciplinary Cancer Care
Foley Partner Michael Blau participated in a roundtable discussion that was published as an article titled “The Transformation of Healthcare in Private Practice Oncology” in the May 2010 issue of the Journal of Multidisciplinary Cancer Care. Blau discusses the potential effects of federal healthcare reform and escalating medical costs on the delivery of oncology care. He predicts that value-based purchasing, capped rates, episodes of care and stricter medical necessity guidelines and clinical protocols for oncology will emerge as consequences of the expansion of healthcare coverage.
