Foley announced that Antoinette F. Konski, partner and the firm’s Silicon Valley office IP chairperson, has been named a 2011 Top 25 Biotech Lawyer in California by the Daily Journal. According to the publication, this inaugural recognition honors 25 attorneys who have well represented biotechnology clients on legal issues that affect cutting edge drug and medical device technologies.
In her recent work for Access Pharmaceuticals, Konski demonstrated her ability to successfully manage innovative medical technology matters, having facilitated an expedited global launch of a new drug technology by efficiently obtaining IP protection. Her skill at handling complex issues involving progressive medical technologies, ranging from personalized medicine to gene therapy and nanotechnology, has made a significant impact for many of her biotechnology clients.
Konski’s skill and experience is also reflected in her pro bono efforts. On behalf of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), the state’s stem cell research agency, Konski organized and co-authored a database for all issued U.S. patents relating to regenerative medicine. Additionally, she provides pro bono counseling to CIRM on all IP issues.
This prestigious recognition was preceded by Konski’s recent selection as one of Daily Journal’s 2011 Top 25 IP Portfolio Managers in California.
