Foley Of Counsel Mark Neuberger was quoted in a Daily Business Review article published on November 28, 2011. In the article titled “Justice Watch: Feds getting tougher on worker misclassification,” Neuberger discusses increased Internal Revenue Service enforcement against companies that misclassify employees as independent contractors. He says the increased enforcement should be a wake up call to South Florida employers attempting to take shortcuts and notes that federal and state classification rules often differ, making it difficult to comply.
