Gonzalez Knavel Quoted on Prescription Drug Shortages
December 5, 2011
Bloomberg Health Law Report
Foley Partner Maria Gonzalez Knavel participated in a “BLAW Q&A” that appeared in the Bloomberg Health Law Report on December 5, 2011. Gonzalez Knavel responds to the question of whether President Obama’s Executive Order 13588 will effectively address the growing problem of prescription drug shortages, saying that the Order seemingly provides a framework to address the shortages but lacks a specific process for resolving the problem. She adds that it remains to be seen how the FDA and manufacturers will revise their procedures to comply with the Order’s reporting requirements.
