Foley Partner Andrew Serwin was quoted in an article that appeared in the December 2011 issue of InsideCounsel titled “The perks and pitfalls of tablet computers.” Serwin discusses the growing popularity of tablet computers among legal professionals as well as the potential security issues that may arise when connecting tablets to a cloud computing network. He says tablets are easily transportable and powerful computing devices with the potential to replace laptop computers in certain situations, but questions the extent of the tablet’s ability to close access to the cloud where data is stored.
