Foley Expands China and Transactional & Securities Practice Capabilities With Addition of Selig Sacks
Foley announced today that Selig D. Sacks has joined the firm as co-chair of the U.S./China Corporate Practice and as a member of the Transactional & Securities Practice. Previously, Sacks was China Practice co-chair, head of the Corporate Practice and a member of the Executive Committee at Pryor Cashman LLP.
He focuses his practice on representing U.S. clients doing business in China and Chinese companies accessing U.S. capital markets and technology transfers as well as expanding their presence in the U.S. Sacks’s clients span a broad cross section of industries including energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, green technology, consumer products, new media, real estate and infrastructure. He also represents private equity sponsors and investors.

Sacks regularly counsels public and private entities in general corporate and governance issues and participates in defending U.S. publicly traded China-based companies in class action lawsuits, SEC investigations and crisis management.

Sacks participated in the 2011 CCG Investor Relations China IPO Bootcamp in Shanghai and is a frequent speaker in China on the U.S. capital markets and regulatory process. He has also held seminars on the U.S. capital markets for government and business leaders in the Haidian District of Beijing, the Guanghua School of Management and in Shanghai, Shijiazhuang and other major cities in China. Sacks co-chaired the 2011 M&A Advisor Awards and Summit in New York. In 2010, one of his transactions was selected by M&A Advisor as Middle Market Acquisition Financing Deal of the Year. Sacks was a featured speaker at the China Entrepreneurs-sponsored Wall Street China Forum: Assessing U.S.-Listed China Companies; 2011 U.S.-China Real Estate Summit West Greets East; China Chamber of International Commerce; and U.S. China Innovation and Cooperation Conference. Additionally, he was a member of the 2010 Rockefeller Mission to China and the NASDAQ Delegation to Inner Mongolia.
