Foley Appoints Jeffrey Blease Chair of Litigation Department
Experienced trial lawyer and firm leader to head national department serving clients across sectors
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that partner Jeffrey “Jeff” Blease has been named chair of the firm’s national Litigation Department. In this role, Blease will guide the strategic direction of the department, which includes over 400 attorneys across more than a dozen practice groups.

Blease succeeds partner Lisa Noller, who has led the department since 2023 and will continue to focus on her Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations practice.

Blease is a seasoned trial lawyer based in Boston and San Francisco. He represents national and international clients in complex disputes, advising both plaintiffs and defendants, with particular experience in construction, insurance, real estate, business litigation, and major personal injury cases. He previously served for 18 years as chair of Foley’s national Construction Practice Group and served a six-year term on the firm’s Management Committee.
