Women in Law Empowerment Forum Recognizes Foley with Gold Standard Certification
The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has recognized Foley with its 2012 Gold Standard Certification for integrating women into the highest levels of firm leadership. This honor recognizes firms that have made a considerable number of women equity partners, extensively incorporated women partners into the governance structure and recognized the contributions of women attorneys through compensation.
Committed to supporting the professional advancement of the firm’s women attorneys, Foley has established a broad range of initiatives that offer career development and networking opportunities. For example, the firm’s Professional Development Program series for women attorneys, facilitated by Foley women partners, is designed to highlight fundamental and practical skills needed for career progression. The Foley Women’s Network acts as both an incubator and resource for training programs, business development, networking efforts and any other advancement issues of interest to the firm’s women attorneys. Additionally, Foley’s Affinity Group Ambassador program is designed to orient new women attorneys and summer associates by pairing them with a Foley woman attorney who acts as an informal mentor during the transition into the firm. Foley is also dedicated to cultivating relationships with many women organizations including the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), which has resulted in exposure and networking opportunities for many of the firm’s women attorneys who regularly attend and present at WPO conferences.
