Washington, D.C. Partner Gregory Neppl was quoted by the PaRR in an article published on July 25, 2013 titled “FTC Review of Waze/Google proceeding slowly.” The article discusses continued recent exchange of information between the Federal Trade Commission and Google regarding the search engine giant’s purchase of mapping company Waze. Mr. Neppl was quoted saying, “The FTC can really investigate a non-reportable transaction at its own leisure, free from the timing constraints imposed by the HSR rules. At some point, perhaps, the length of the review might affect the balancing of the equities, if FTC decided to seek injunctive relief to freeze further business integration or unwind the transaction.”
