Foley has announced that Geisinger Health System – Cancer Institute has been selected as the recipient of the firm’s 2013 Cancer Center Innovator Award, which honors organizations that have best distinguished themselves as innovators in the business of cancer care. The award was presented at the seventh annual Cancer Center Business Summit. Accepting the award on behalf of Geisinger Health System – Cancer Institute was William Jordan, Jr., Regional Director of Operations for Geisinger’s Cancer Service Line.
The Cancer Center Business Summit is the premiere forum for best business models and practices in community-based oncology. The summit, held in Chicago, explored how to transform oncology through innovation, focusing on mobile health innovations, game-changing provider/payor cancer care innovations and actionable data analytics for cancer care and payment re-design.
